  • Election Day: What Do We Do?

Election Day is often discouraging and intimidating for teens  and young people across the U.S. Not only does it seem like teens have no voice during Election Day, but it also feels like the adults are ignoring them. According to the 2026 Harvard Youth Poll, 50% of young people in America believe, "people like me don't have any say about what the government does."   During a study at Johns Hopkins University, most teenagers said that they felt uninfluential towards governmental issues because of the lack of representation of young people in the government and because of extreme economic strain.   Many people do not understand how much of a burden Election Day can be for young adults and teenagers. More often than not, young people's  perspectives and beliefs are overlooked or completely disregarded.
